Question:129 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of patrol cars available and on call in north Kildare on a nightly basis and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6380/01]
Written Answers. - Garda Deployment.
I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel and resources to individual areas, that there are 34 vehicles assigned to the north Kildare area, which spans three Garda divisions. I am further informed that, for operational reasons, it is not practice to state how many are available on a nightly basis.
