Vol. 531 No. 5

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Richard Bruton

Question:

132 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he is making arrangements to sanction the school for autistic children at Glasheen, County Cork, which is using applied behaviour analysis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6266/01]

The Cork applied behavioural analysis project, which is situated at Glasheen, is catering for 18 children. My Department proposes an expansion of the project to enable it to cater for up to 30 children. Officials of my Department are investigating possible locations in the Cork area to accommodate the extra places. It is hoped that arrangements for the expansion of the project can be made as soon as possible.
