Vol. 531 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Noel Ahern

Question:

84 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 who has been told by Temple Street and Beaumont Hospitals that it will take two years to have an operation on her eardrum; if he will instruct, on a humanitarian basis, that this person be treated urgently. [6361/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services for persons living in Counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests, in the first instance, with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the specific case raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
