Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Radiotherapy Treatment.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

213 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who is awaiting radiotherapy treatment at Cork University Hospital will be admitted for treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6775/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of admissions to hospitals is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based upon clinical priority. I have therefore asked the chief executive officer at the Southern Health Board, who has responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
