218 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding necessary capital works at Ennis General Hospital in the accident and emergency department and other areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6812/01]
The provision of services to patients in Ennis General Hospital is the responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board.
As the Deputy will be aware I have approved the establishment of a project team to prepare detailed briefs for identified priority developments at the hospital, which includes the accident and emergency department, and this work is currently under way.
