Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Milk Quota.

Michael Finucane

Question:

118 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Limerick has received additional milk quota from the appeals tribunal. [6713/01]

The Milk Quota Appeals Tribunal considered an application for additional quota from the person named at its meeting on 26 February 2001 but it was not among those for which an allocation was recommended. The person named has been notified of the outcome of his application. Due to the large volume of applications submitted during the current milk quota year and the limited quantity of quota available for distribution, the tribunal is not in a position to re-examine this case during the current milk quota year. However, he may apply when application forms for the 2001-02 milk quota year become available. The forms will be available after 1 April 2001 from milk purchasers and from the milk policy division, Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Kildare Street, Dublin.
