109 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a submission from the Shannon decentralisation network for the decentralisation of a Government Department to Newcastle West, County Limerick, Listowel, County Kerry and Kilrush, County Clare; his views on the integrated approach of this submission; when he will proceed with a commitment to decentralise and consider the submission; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy):

I have received a submission from the Integrated Shannon Decentralisation Network regarding the partnership of Kilrush, Listowel and Newcastle West for decentralisation to the three towns. I will ensure the proposal is brought to the attention of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Decentralisation who will consider proposals in advance of its submission to the Government for consideration and approval.
