96 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children his proposals, in conjunction with the Eastern Regional Health Authority, to use St. Bricin's Military Hospital for elective surgical day work. [8467/01]
I understand that the Eastern Regional Health Authority which has responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, has established a working group to pursue the use of St. Bricin's Military Hospital as a facility to which certain categories of civilian patients could be referred, in parallel to its role as a military hospital.
The review group includes representatives from the Department of Defence, the Northern Area Health Board and the Mater Hospital.
