Question:97 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has made an appointment to the Health Insurance Authority; and, if so, the name of his nominee. [8468/01]
Written Answers. - Departmental Appointments.
I announced the membership of the Health Insurance Authority, established under Part IV of the Health Insurance Act, 1994, on 8 March last. I appointed the following as members of the authority: Professor Alastair Wood (Chairman); Ms Mary Doyle; Mr. Tom Greene; Ms Anne Maher; and Mr. Aidan O'Donnell. I also appointed Mr. Dermot Ryan as the first registrar/chief executive to the authority.
