Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Creed – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to reconsider his decision to appeal the Jamie Sinnott case to the Supreme Court; (2) Deputy Sheehan – the issue of the payment for the provision of emergency services for ambulance drivers in the Southern Health Board; (3) Deputy Ring – the need to sanction funding for the extension to St. Colmcille's national school, Westport, County Mayo; (4) Deputy Broughan – the need to give the necessary powers to the Comptroller and Auditor General to examine all aspects of the privatisation of telecommunications infrastructure in Ireland and to request and enable him to report fully to Dáil Éireann on this matter; (5) Deputy Crawford – the urgent need for grant aid towards butchers' abattoirs in order to help curtail the movement of cattle, sheep and pigs; (6) Deputy Rabbitte – the draft report of the Motor Advisory Board – MIAB – which highlights excessive profit taking by the insurance companies in relation to young drivers; (7) Deputy Seán Ryan – the situation with regard to the orthodontic service within the Eastern Regional Health Authority area; (8) Deputy Durkan – the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to declare a housing emergency; (9) Deputy Olivia Mitchell – the second explosives accident on the Southern Cross Motorway construction site; (10) Deputy Enright – the need to provide improved policing and increase the Garda personnel in the Laois-Offaly Garda division; (11) Deputy Stanton – the need to upgrade the child guidance and child psychological services in the Southern Health Board region; and (12) Deputy Connaughton – the need to allocate milk quotas from the reserve available for the marketing year 2001-2003 to members of the Milk Quota Rights Group.

The matters raised by Deputies Rabbitte, Olivia Mitchell, Stanton and Enright have been selected as suitable for discussion.
