Vol. 533 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Question:

184 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an immediate appointment has not been made for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow to have radiotherapy treatment at St. Luke's Hospital, Rathgar, Dublin; the reasons for the delay in this regard; and if there is a waiting list. [8569/01]

The provision of services in the case to which the Deputy is referring is in the first instance the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the board to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
