I propose to take Questions Nos. 292, 301, 302 and 303 together.

The European Commission has agreed to provide 5.3 million euros, IR£4.2 million, in funding to Ireland to undertake one single project under the EU URBAN II Initiative 2000-2006. The Government will provide matching funds to the value of 5.3 million euros, IR£4.2 million, towards the initiative.
The URBAN II initiative programme was drafted by Dublin Corporation in consultation with my Department and the EU Commission. Once the Commission completes its consideration which is currently under way, and approves the programme, the more detailed programme complement, which will be drafted by Dublin Corporation, will identify measures-projects under which investment will take place.
Dublin Corporation, which has been appointed lead agency for the operation of the URBAN II programme, has undertaken intensive consultations with local community representatives in the preparation of the draft programme. The URBAN II programme provides for the establishment of a board of management company which will include three locally elected representatives. Dublin Corporation, as the lead agency, would be best placed to provide up to date information on the process by which such a board is set up and also to provide any other information regarding operational matters.
