343 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education and Science the position on the proposed extension to Colowood national school, Craughwell, County Galway, concerning its application for an extra classroom, all-purpose room and library; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8896/01]

I assume the Deputy is referring to Coldwood national school, Craughwell, County Galway.

My Department has received an application for improved accommodation at this school. An assessment of its the long-term accommodation requirements is being undertaken at present.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
