364 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 16 of 7 March 2000, a provisional tariff has been communicated to his Department; the length of the tariff; and if a decision has been made regarding the possible transfer of the prisoner concerned. [9488/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

A formal application for transfer has not been transmitted to the UK authorities and therefore no further information on a possible tariff is available to me. I expect to be in a position to make a final decision on the case shortly and I will inform the Deputy at that time.
