Vol. 534 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

Ivor Callely

Question:

139 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals which are under consideration for capital projects in the Dublin hospitals; the total value of such projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7869/01]

It is assumed that the Deputy's questions relate to projects which are not already under construction or in the planning phases. Any further additions to those projects will, by and large, be considered in the context of the review of bed capacity in acute hospitals. That review will be completed shortly. It will then be a matter for my Department and the ERHA to consider the implications of the review for the hospitals in the area covered by the authority.
