206 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of building projects costing in excess of £5 million approved by his Department for Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and Waterford Institute of Technology; the date when each project was initially approved; and the status of each project. [10077/01]

The construction costs of two projects, at the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and the Waterford Institute of Technology, exceed £5 million, 6,348,690. Details of these projects are as follows:

There are a number of other projects at early stages of architectural planning in both institutes. It is not open to me to give the Deputy estimated costs for these projects at this time as to do so may compromise tenders at a later stage.
