Vol. 534 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Willie Penrose

Question:

117 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will ensure that an application from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath for an installation aid scheme grant will be considered promptly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10620/01]

It is a condition of the installation aid scheme that a farmer must be between his or her 18th and 35th birthday on the date he or she signs the transfer or lease documents. As the person named had passed his 35th birthday when he leased the lands he cannot be considered for aid under the installation aid scheme.
