Vol. 535 No. 1

Written Answers - Services for People with Disabilities.

John McGuinness

Question:

348 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the organisations representing the mentally handicapped which were funded further to the recent allocation of £100,000 to the South Eastern Health Board; the amount received in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12079/01]

I have been informed by the South-Eastern Health Board that the distribution of the allocation has not yet been decided. Proposals and recommendations have come through the regional intellectual disability consultative committee on a number of agencies and the South Eastern Health Board is in the process of making the final recommendations.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to reply to the Deputy directly once the final recommendations have been made.
