Vol. 535 No. 3

Written Answers - EU Medical Services.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

110 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children the health services which would be available to a person, currently a holder of a long-term illness book, if that person moved permanently to France; and if all health services currently available free of charge here would apply should the person move to France. [12628/01]

Where a person moves permanently to France, he or she enjoys the same entitlements as any other EU citizen living permanently in France. The Embassy of Ireland, 4 Rue Rude, 75116 Paris can assist in directing people to the relevant health agency in France, so that all necessary information may be obtained prior to travelling.
