Vol. 536 No. 1

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Willie Penrose

Question:

117 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who is in need of knee surgery will be immediately called for an appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13488/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board in the first instance. My Department has therefore asked the board's chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
