Vol. 536 No. 1

Written Answers - Health Services.

Question:

116 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children the assistance available for tattoo removal for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that previous representations made on behalf of this person have been ignored by the Eastern Regional Health Authority. [13469/01]

I am not aware of the specific case referred to by the Deputy or of any specific arrangements for the provision of such a service. However, I have written to the Eastern Regional Health Authority requesting it to investigate this case, to confirm whether assistance is available in relation to the removal of tattoos and to respond directly to the Deputy.
