289 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he can provide a report on a case (details supplied) of a person suffering from high functioning autism who has suffered severe bullying that has led to post-traumatic stress disorder; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with autism in the mid-western region is a matter in the first instance for the Mid-Western Health Board. I have asked the board to provide me with an urgent report on this case and I will be in contact with the Deputy as soon as I receive it.
