Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Occupational Therapy Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

310 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in providing an occupational therapist's report for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow. [13954/01]

I have made inquiries of the South-Eastern Health Board, which has responsibility for this type of report in County Carlow, concerning the case referred to by the Deputy. The board has advised me that the only application from the person concerned in relation to this matter was received in March 1994. The relevant medical and occupational reports were completed at that time and returned to Carlow County Council. Payment of any appropriate grant would be a matter for the local authority.
