Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Departmental Staff.

John McGuinness

Question:

311 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if a cornea specialist is employed by the South-Eastern Health Board; the time frame for the contract of employment; the plans of the South-Eastern Health Board in relation to the future of the contract and the employment of a person in this area. [13955/01]

The appointment of staff and the terms of their employment is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the South-Eastern Health Board to examine the issue raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
