Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Blasket Islands.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

369 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the total legal costs to her Department of the court cases on the Blasket Island, including all other costs; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13648/01]

A sum of £932,434.09, in total, has been paid by my Department in settlement of legal costs incurred as a result of the High Court action and Supreme Court appeal which found An Blascaod Mór National Historic Park Act 1989 to be unconstitutional.
