124 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Defence the steps he is taking to ensure that all appointments made to boards, committees or other bodies under the aegis of his Department are consistent with the Government's stated policy in regard to gender quotas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Other than the re-appointment of serving members to the board of Coiste an Asgard and the appointment of replacement military members to the Army Pensions Board, I have, as Minister for Defence, made three appointments to such bodies, one of whom is female. I am fully supportive of the Government's policy in regard to gender balance in this area and cognisance will be taken in this regard when appointments fall to be made to such bodies.
