Vol. 536 No. 3

Written Answers - Physiotherapy Services.

Liz McManus

Question:

176 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people waiting for physiotherapy services at Tullamore Regional Hospital and in the Midland Health Board area; the average length of time they are waiting; the way in which this compares to the waiting time of private patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14129/01]

I wish to inform the Deputy that hospital waiting list data for physiotherapy services is not collected by my Department. However, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board, who has responsibility for the provision of services at Tullamore General Hospital, to examine this issue and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
