187 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 131 to 133, inclusive, of 12 April 2001, he will insist on the South-Eastern Health Board providing a wheelchair for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if the occupational therapist's report is available as yet so that the disabled persons grant application can be processed. Question:

188 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress made in relation to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 131 to 133, inclusive, of 12 April 2001, regarding the supply of a motorised wheelchair to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow. [14645/01]

I propose taking Questions Nos. 186 to 188, inclusive, together.

As I have previously explained to the Deputy, the provision of technical aids and appliances to people with physical and sensory disabilities and the provision of occupational therapy reports are the responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards. I understand that the South-Eastern Health Board has recently been in touch with the Deputy detailing the current position regarding the three individuals concerned.
