279 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will approve the contract documents for Ballyheigue sewerage scheme, County Kerry, to enable work to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14721/01]
I approved contract documents for this scheme in 1999. Kerry County Council has now submitted tender recommendations for both the civil and mechanical-electrical contracts. These will be considered on receipt of the necessary manager's order and a certificate of completion of planning which have been requested from the council.
