Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Customs Houses.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

179 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider selling the old Customs house in Swanlinbar, County Cavan, to the North Eastern Health Board for the purpose of the development and provision of OPD houses by the health board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15913/01]

The Commissioners of Public Works disposed of the former Custom house in Swanlinbar to the North Eastern Health Board in 1996 for use as a day care centre.

The former Customs station house was also offered for sale to the North Eastern Health Board at that time; it declined the offer.

If the North-Eastern Health Board is now interested in acquiring the former Customs station, it should contact the Office of Public Works.
