211 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Health and Children the position in relation to having approval given to appoint a design team for phase three of the development project at Letterkenny General Hospital, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15620/01]
The development of Letterkenny General Hospital is a matter for the North-Western Health Board. A development brief for Letterkenny General Hospital phase 3 has recently been received in my Department and it is currently being examined. Officials from my Department will be in contact with the board in due course to discuss the functional content and budget cost of the proposal together with a programme for the procurement of the facility consistent with the board's indicative national development plan funding.
