Question:

212 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of deaths caused by bile duct cancer for each of the years 1980, 1990, 1999 and 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15640/01]

The National Cancer Registry collates data on the incidence of and mortality from cancer in this country. My Department has asked the director of the registry, Dr. Harry Comber, to forward the information requested directly to the Deputy.
