271 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if there has been any response from the EU Commission in respect of his Department's submission regarding the possible requirement for an environmental impact study on zoned lands in Stepaside, County Dublin. [15599/01]
By letter dated 29 August 2000, the European Commission forwarded complaint reference P2000/4519 which argued that an environmental impact assessment should have been carried out in respect of an action plan for Stepaside, County Dublin. My Department provided a detailed response to the complaint on 3 November 2000. I am not aware of any further communication from the Commission on this matter.
