Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Owen – the provision of a new school building for Malahide community school as pupils will have to be refused entry next year; (2) Deputy Crawford – the need to increase the number of cattle, over 30 months, that can be slaughtered at our export meat factories; (3) Deputy Upton – the urgent need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to provide alternative sources of beef for charitable organisations who were dependent on intervention beef in order to provide for "meals on wheels" for the elderly and at day care centres; (4) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the need for a school secretary for St. Michael's primary school, Dominican Campus, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10; (5) Deputy Penrose – the need to provide an adequate system of compensation for farmers whose land is compulsorily acquired for road or motorway development; (6) Deputy Deenihan – the urgent need to provide a rehabilitation hospital for the Munster region; (7) Deputy Gregory – the matters of public concern on the Grangegorman murders which were highlighted last night; (8) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the need for an extra classroom and other facilities at Ballyferriter national school, Dingle, County Kerry.

The matters raised by Deputies Moynihan-Cronin, Crawford, Deenihan and Gregory have been selected for discussion.
