167 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a decision has been made on the application for area aid by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if so, when outstanding subsidies will be paid. [18000/01]
No application was received from the person named before the last date for submissions of applications for the area aid scheme for 2000. In January 2001, the herd owner submitted an application which he claimed had been submitted before the final deadline. However, he did not provide any evidence to support his claim that he had submitted an earlier application on time.
In these circumstances no area aid related payments can be made to him for the year 2000.
