Vol. 538 No. 5

Written Answers. - Citizenship Applications.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

72 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the position of the application by a person (details supplied) for Irish citizenship; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18412/01]

The applicant's declaration accepting Irish citizenship as post-nuptial citizenship has been received in my Department from the Irish Embassy in Rome. It has been found to be in order and has been sent on to the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform which will issue the usual certificate.
