221 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath is immediately admitted for medical assessment at Tallaght hospital, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18519/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board.

My Department has asked the board's chief executive officer to investigate the issue raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

222 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will take steps to ensure that an appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath in the Mater hospital which is arranged for 6 October 2001 is brought forward; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18520/01]
