251 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people on the waiting list for work to be completed to their house under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme; and the average waiting period in the Mid-Western Health Board area. [18745/01]
As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly is operated by the health boards on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government.
I have asked the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board to investigate the matter and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
