Vol. 541 No. 2

Written Answers. - Ordnance Survey Legislation.

Liam Lawlor

Question:

362 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Finance if the concerns of workers in the Ordnance Survey office have been allayed by his agreement to accept amendments to the Ordnance Survey Ireland Bill, 2001, which were put forward by trade union representatives on behalf of the workers; and the nature of any changes he has agreed to make to the Bill. [20903/01]

Several proposals were made by the representatives of OSI staff arising from their concerns in relation to the Ordnance Survey Ireland Bill, 2001. While I have not agreed to incorporate their proposals in the Bill, I have made a formal and detailed response with the objective of allaying these concerns.
