Vol. 541 No. 2

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Seán Ardagh

Question:

442 Mr. Ardagh asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the availability of tradesmen to install necessary items such as sinks and backdoors in homes of people in need in the South-Western Area Health Board, as in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12. [21240/01]

As the Deputy is aware, the special housing aid scheme for the elderly, in the Dublin 12 area, is administered by the South West Area Health Board, on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to have this specific case investigated and reply direct to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
