Bernard Allen

Question:

556 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department has reached agreement with the Irish Medical Organisation regarding the financing of the national pilot programme for general practitioners providing near/patient testing for warfarin patients. [22057/01]

Negotiations with the Irish Medical Organisation on the subject of the pilot warfarin testing in general practice are at a very advanced stage. A meeting was held in September with the IMO and the project should commence in October.
