744 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received proposals from South Dublin County Council for the alleviation of flooding in the Lucan area of County Dublin; if so, when he will approve the proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey):

I approved the contract documents for the River Griffeen catchment management scheme in June 2000. South Dublin County Council recently submitted revised proposals which are currently being examined in my Department.
