Question No. 180 answered with Question No. 8.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

181 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the position regarding an application for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery by the North Kildare Club; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22670/01]

The club in question was provisionally allocated a grant of £60,000 under the 2001 sports capital programme and was informed, in writing, of this decision by my Department on 13 June 2001. On 4 July 2001 my Department sent a written request to the club for further information and various items of documentation required to facilitate the draw down of its funding. To date none of the information or documentation requested has been forthcoming from the club.
