Vol. 541 No. 4

Written Answers. - Depopulation of Herds.

Dan Neville

Question:

226 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the 1981 depopulation of a dairy herd owned by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick, was due to disease. [22703/01]

The relevant herd records for the year 1981 are no longer available.

Such records that are available, in the district veterinary office, indicate that the late herdowner received compensation for 28 brucellosis reactors in the period November 1980 to March 1981. However, the available payment documentation does not indicate whether or not the herd was depopulated.
