The application of the person named under the 2001 area based compensatory allowance scheme has now been fully processed and payment will issue within 14 days.

Question:225 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a suckler cow payment; the reason payment has been delayed; if there is a difficulty with the processing of this application; and the further reason this person has not been notified of the reason for the delay. One of the parcels claimed by the person named in his 2001 area aid application overlaps with a parcel of land claimed by another applicant. The area aid unit has examined the files of both herdowners involved and the overlap is being resolved in favour of the person named. This information is now being entered on to the Department's electronic database.
The person named will be paid his entitlements under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme and the 2001 area based compensatory allowance scheme before the end of October.
