Written Answers. - Psychiatric Services.

Liz McManus

Question:

296 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the extent of services for psychiatric patients at James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; if services have been curtailed; if so, the reasons therefor; the number of psychiatric consultants there; the numbers needed to provide a full service; the steps he is taking to address the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22844/01]

This is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and I have therefore referred this matter to the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and have requested him to reply directly to the Deputy.
