403 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí employed in active service in Limerick city and county from 1997 to 2000. [22862/01]

I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel and resources to individ ual areas, that the personnel strength, covering all ranks, of Limerick division as at 31 December for each of the years 1997 to 2000, inclusive, is as set out hereunder.

The Garda authorities also inform me that the Garda divisional and district boundaries do not correlate to county and town boundaries.
