450 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction a special needs support teacher for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if an immediate review of the application can be made and a positive decision given. [22732/01]
I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers. In order to progress the application for resource teaching support for the pupil in question, the school authorities have been asked to furnish some additional details to my Department. As soon as this information is received and examined, officials of my Department will be in contact with the school authorities in relation to their request.
