291 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the status of an application for a shower unit and other assistance by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and the reason for the delay in processing the application. [23814/01]
As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly is administered by the health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
