473 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the percentage increase the £693 million Garda Vote in 2001 is over the corresponding Vote for 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24360/01]

The respective Revised Estimates for Public Services for the years 2000 and 2001 show an increase in the provision for the Garda Vote from IR £651,783,000, 827,594,000, in 2000 to IR£693,012,000, 879,944,000, in 2001. This represents a percentage increase of 6.3%.
